Disappointment arose when I found out the steam room was closed , despite prior confirmation of its availability. The swimming pool experience was marred by the presence of swimming lessons, crowded and less enjoyable. The cleanliness left something to be desired. Spotting questionable hair in the shower was off-putting. There was a distinct and overpowering smell in the accommodation block that detracted from my overall experience.

We liked that you had a pillow menu.
Restaurant was expensive and over priced for the quality of the meal. The room was not heated adequately, the window did not shut properly and the train line ran close to the hotel so I was awoken early!

The outdated furniture and decor really detracted from the experience!!! Maintenance requests seemed largely ignored, leaving rooms with dubious cleanliness and poor air conditioning!!! Not quite the modern hotel ambiance expected!!!

It's location, which gave us access to lots of different areas. A good mix of road types for meandering locally & A12 for going further afield. Easy to mix a town & country break.
Nothing was a major problem, although there were a few minor niggles.
